Fort Lauderdale, Florida
For someone like me who works 10 hours, 5 days a week with a cute little 9-year-old daughter to care for, vacation is always something to look forward to. Since the turn of the year, I have visited Las Vegas (twice), the Bahamas and Fort Lauderdale.
Usually, to excite myself about any planned vacation, months before the vacation, I would make countdown timers for such vacations (usually on www.arewethere.yt). As the dates approach, I would tease myself, friends and families with the visually appealing countdown.
Just this past July, I visited Fort Lauderdale with friends, Fort Lauderdale is well-known for its spectacular beaches, arts, culture and events. From within two miles north of Port Everglades, you can start experiencing Fort Lauderdale's landscaped beachfront promenade, with its signature white wave wall and brick paved path. We went from shopping on Las Olas Boulevard to gondola rides on the canals to the historic riverfront.
Just strolling along the historic seaside promenade will leave visitors with lasting memories of this fun-in-the-sun city in Florida. Let alone the narrated 90-minute amphibious tour of quaint Las Olas Boulevard and the historical districts.
One of my best experiences was the one-hour Airboat Everglades Tour, this gives you a closer look at the wild beauty of turtles, birds and alligators. Other excitements include the International Swimming Hall of Fame, with pools and the Hugh Taylor Birch State Park, featuring trails and a lagoon.
Time to stop reminiscing and get back to work 😞.
Till my next vacation… 🤪
